Design thinking as a process or a style of approaching a matter has gained considerable attention with time. A multitude of organizations have adopted this new approach within contexts beyond the traditional preoccupations of designers. This is a more dynamic hands-on approach to architecture and 3D design, where prototyping and design exploration are conducted via the help of proactive thinking, actual testing and creativity that is driven by empathy. Creativity here is the generation of insights and design solutions, while empathy helps with the context of the problem that the architect needs to solve. After conducting his thorough analysis, the architect and 3D designer need to adopt a rational approach to fit solutions to the given context.

In order to understand and feel better the design needs of our customers, at eNArch.info, we consider prototyping as an attitude, a value of a kind. It is our commitment to creating honestly human-centred architecture that takes into consideration every aspect and detail of the end project and the user experience related to the targeted use of the building. It is not just about the validation of the initial plan, but rather about facilitating deeper interaction and understanding between the architect and 3D designer and the end customer.

Digital Architecture and Engineering

Digitalization and rapid development of technologies have led us to a point when we need to question our existing knowledge about shapes and forms, and rediscover the way we see design.

With all the powerful resources technology provides architects and engineers now-a-days, we could take advantage to redefine the way we see and use space, while employing innovative, stronger, leaner and more environmentally-friendly materials.

Having said that, it is crucial to continue to withdraw design inspiration from our surroundings and nature, as we could find no better and complete eco system. Pushing too hard on experimentation with shapes and angles, made available to us by technological breakthroughs, is not always a manifest of quality architecture, but rather well developed digital skills.

In the fields of architecture, we need to remember sensitivity in observation, natural balance and use of light. Our mission, at eNArch, is to push the exploration of the design knowledge that we have, without losing the connection with the natural process of architecture and use of spaces.

Virtual Reality in Architecture

With the development and digitalization of architecture and design, tools, such as 360 virtual reality technology, are proving to be extremely useful. This approach could be used to feel and better understand space, free movement around, eventual obstacles, and overall fluidity of transition. Virtual Reality in architecture becomes a research tool of paramount importance to be able to analyze and investigate effects before the actual construction phase. It allows for experimenting in the environment and conditions of the building. This approach helps to not only understand the mechanisms but, as well, to improve the interfaces designed.

Virtual Reality is a significant leap forward in the ways data is being analyzed and, most of all, in the presentation of the buildings’ design. 3D design and improved digital visualization help envision better the expected end result, while virtual reality takes this one step further and allows free movement and exploration of the space.

Some major benefits of virtual reality in architecture:

  • Improve the quality of buildings
  • Improve architectural process
  • Improve the client outcomes
  • Create better environment
